- Buyer BEWARE.!!! I bought the Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop in Feb. of this year and on May 28th it broke down. It was sitting on my laptop tray in my bedroom working fine when I left it. When I came back the red Compaq logo screen was up and now it says that I do not have a hard drive...I am getting the run around from HP customer serv...ice ... I sent it to HP and NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH IT!!!! All I got was a form letter stating that the technical diagnostic found that the problem is not covered under the warranty...OK WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!?!?!? Typical comming from a company who does not want to take responsibility for making a defective laptop. I WILL NOT buy anything else from HP! And not because of the fact that the laptop is obviously defective but because of their POOR customer service and technical support.
