| - Buyer BEWARE.!!! I bought the Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop in Feb. of this year and on May 28th it broke down. It was sitting on my laptop tray in my bedroom working fine when I left it. When I came back the red Compaq logo screen was up and now it says that I do not have a hard drive...I am getting the run around from HP customer serv...ice ... I sent it to HP and NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH IT!!!! All I got was a form letter stating that the technical diagnostic found that the problem is not covered under the warranty...OK WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!?!?!? Typical comming from a company who does not want to take responsibility for making a defective laptop. I WILL NOT buy anything else from HP! And not because of the fact that the laptop is obviously defective but because of their POOR customer service and technical support. | |

| - Feels well made. Buttons are solid and well-placed. Activity lights for wifi, hdd, and others. Touchpad feels great along with the click buttons. For the money, gigabit, N, hdmi, SPDIF, 4 usb ports are nice.
For some reason, I got one with an LED screen which is sweet. My model is AS5740-6025. Keyboard has everything in its proper place including the strategic placing of the home and end key above the keypad (which I like). It runs cool and always stable even under stress. | |

Our Review: This is a rare laptop to find at this price. Was a little skepital going with a computer of this size but im glad i did.Very fast I read that people said its really heavy and the speakers a quiet, but I would disagree speakers sounds great (I havent turned the volume all the way up cause its too loud) and the laptop really isnt to bad at all in terms of weight. Screen is beautiful very clear and big 17.3in....so glad i got it, its very easy on the eyes. The keyboard is awesome,spread out and easy to type on (another reason the size is a plus. This is my college laptop and so far its all that I asked for with a dirt cheap price compared to other models. I believe one of the best vaules on the market as of now. All in all its a must by I love it. | |
